I’m a little late to start my blog, but I know you’ll read it anyway….Not quite sure how this whole thing works, but I guess I’ll start out by telling you about myself.
My name is Laura.
Laura Mae.
I’m studying abroad in Rome for a semester and I’ve been here for about a week. (crazy how fast time flies) I’ve totes been living it up since the day I got here, but unfortunately today was my first day of classes. Meh. I hope they are easier than I’m anticipating.
Anyways, about me…I’m definitely a people person. I’m spontaneous. I’m crazy. I’m smart. I’m extremely gullible. I’m a troublemaker. I’m emotional. When I’m happy, I’m the best person to be around. When I’m sad, I just want to be alone. When I’m angry, I want to rip your face off…. I think you get the picture. Hopefully someday I can find someone that can deal with all of this, just gotta have faith. All my true friends know that when I’m away at school or home from school that I’m terrible at keeping in touch. But when we’re reunited, it’s as if no time even passed. So now, I’m embarking on this experience with an open mind and an open heart.
This past year has been a long and tough one, but thankfully I’ve survived. A lot of ups and downs. I’ve gone in and out of friendships, anxiety, binges… etc. You name it, I’ve probably done it. I had the hardest semester this past fall and hopefully I won’t ever have that tough of a semester again. I’m hoping the beginning of the new year will bring new adventures and excitement. I’m starting the next chapter in my life… a chapter of TRAVEL.
Side note: When I first knew that I was going to study abroad, I knew that I wanted to make a blog. I didn’t want it to be the typical travel or food blog, but more of a learning and growing experience for myself while I’m out of the country. Basically, it’s everyone’s moral imperative to enjoy food and travel. But this is about my own personal development of me, myself, and I.
Cheers.
