Once your New Home Specialist receives your preliminary plans, you’ll meet together for a structural review. During this meeting, you’ll go over all of your selected plan options and confirm the layout and structure of your home. Once everything looks perfect, you’ll give final approval to move your plans forward!
When you sign your purchase agreement, you’ll provide your earnest money deposit to your New Home Specialist. This confirms your commitment to move forward and allows our team to begin bringing your plans to life.
This is where your Creative Homes journey officially begins! By now, you’ve chosen your ideal floor plan and homesite. Your New Home Specialist will guide you step-by-step through the purchase agreement to ensure you understand every detail. From here, the build process begins!
After signing your purchase agreement, you’ll have 30 days to obtain a pre-approval letter from the lender of your choice. At Creative Homes, we offer exclusive financing incentives when you choose to work with our Builder’s Preferred Lender—helping you save on closing costs, the price of your home, or your monthly payment, all while ensuring a smoother process from start to finish.
After you sign off on your plans, your Design Studio Specialist will contact you to schedule your appointments at our new Design Studio located at our Home Office in Woodbury. They’ll guide you through personalizing every detail of your new Creative Home. You’ll have two design appointments, each lasting about three hours, to explore finishes, fixtures, and design options that bring your vision to life.
Before your mechanical systems—such as electrical, heating, cooling, and plumbing—are installed, you’ll walk through your home with your Neighborhood Builder for a Pre-Drywall and Electrical Walk. This is your opportunity to confirm the placement of outlets, switches, and other key features before the walls are closed in.
Before breaking ground, you’ll meet with your New Home Specialist and Neighborhood Builder to review your finalized plans and homesite survey. This meeting is a great opportunity to discuss the “nuts and bolts” of your home and gain a clear understanding of what to expect throughout the construction process.
You’re welcome to visit your homesite during construction when accompanied by your Neighborhood Builder or New Home Specialist. At Creative Homes, safety is our top priority. We ask that you always wear closed-toe shoes, and a hard hat will be provided by your Builder or Specialist when necessary. For your protection, please do not enter your home without a Creative Homes representative present.
Once your home approaches the final phase of construction, your Creative Homes team will contact you to set your official closing date—typically scheduled around 30 days prior to completion.
This is the day you officially become a Creative Homes homeowner. At the closing table, you’ll receive the keys to your new home as ownership is transferred. Our team will guide you through each step of the signing process and coordinate with your lender to ensure you have everything needed for a smooth closing. From this moment forward—welcome home to your brand-new Creative Home.
Approximately 60 days after closing, you’ll receive a customer experience survey from our third-party partner, Constellation HomeBuilder Systems. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us continuously improve our processes to deliver an exceptional experience for you—and for future Creative Homes homeowners.
Your Creative Homes team will contact you to schedule warranty check-ins approximately 60 days and 11 months after closing. During these visits, we’ll review your home and address any warrantable items or concerns you may have. For complete details, please reference your Limited Warranty Manual.
